Any supporter of a football team will have a great shirt that shows their support for their specific team. There are a lot of teams out there and one of the best teams in our opinion is Liverpool. If you are also a fan of Liverpool football team, then we are guessing that you have some Liverpool Shirts in order to show your support for the team. If you don’t, then quite frankly, you are not much of a fan. If you are a true fan however, you will know that the Liverpool shirts change from time to time and you will probably have a lot of these shirts if you are a true fan due to the amount of times that the shirts have changed their design.
As you will already know, the main colour that people know of Liverpool shirts to be these days is the colour red. Although this is the case, there have been a lot of shirt designs for Liverpool that have not been red at all and this varies depending on the season and the team that Liverpool are playing. The Liverpool football team is an extremely old team and they started out right back in the 1920’s. At this time, the team had a red shirt that featured the Liverpool football team logo, just like today. However the shirt was quite plain and it did not feature any of the corporate branding that you see on a lot of football teams shirts these days. The Liverpool shirts remained in the colour red for a number of years and there have only been slight variations up until the recent years.
In the early 80’s, Liverpool experimented with different coloured shirts a little bit and they have had a range of different colours for different seasons and games since this time. Although this s the case, the red shirts have still remained Liverpool’s trademark colour and there is no sign of this changing in the years to come either. Over the years, there have been a few different sponsors of the Liverpool football teams and this has shown throughout the shirts over the years. In the 80’s and early 90’s, the team was sponsored by ‘crown paints’ and this is represented on the shirts form this time. Before this, Liverpool were sponsored by the electronics manufacturer ‘Hitachi’ and once again, this was clear from the logo of the companies being printed on the shirts.
The latest sponsor of the Liverpool football team as a lot of you will already know is Carlsberg. Carlsberg remain the sponsor of the Liverpool football team right up until the modern day and they have been the sponsor for quite a while. The first shirt that featured the Carlsberg logo was in the mid 90’s and since then, there have been a number of different shirt designs and different colours that the Carlsberg logo has been featured on. The latest series of shirts from the team also has this logo on.
